Some thoughts on the 'messiness' of human language

The art of poetry, according to my definition, is creating

Components of language: Phonemes, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Sound and text are two inalienable components in ‘linguistic system’, and in the beginning, humans didn’t have proper ‘writing systems’ for them.

How can the two be associated with each other? Is ‘advanced’ language composed of more simplified forms? Does ‘simplified language’ contribute to the clarifiaction of thoughts?
